This is achieved by modularization and enrichment of the modules with metadata. Thus, the desired information can be determined and provided automatically according to the request. The documentation becomes "intelligent".

This is exactly where the two standards VDI 2770 and iiRDS come in. They regulate the organization of the documentation at handover and provide metadata for different aspects (e.g., product variant, information type, required qualification). Only standardization allows the construction of the necessary infrastructure for the creation and use of "intelligent" documentation across company boundaries.

VDI 2770 with Wrap Now

DOSCO Wrap Now is a software product for creating documentation packages in accordance with VDI 2770. It enables metadata to be recorded for each document via a comfortable interface and creates the entire package at the push of a button.

Templates for certain metadata and copy functions reduce recurring entries. The consistency check of the metadata ensures correctness in accordance with the VDI 2770 specifications.

Create engineering standards efficiently and future-proof

Engineering standards describe requirements and specifications that are not contained in public standards (e.g. DIN or ISO standards). They form an important basis for developers, designers and suppliers.

Nevertheless, the creation and maintenance of engineering standards is treated stepmotherly in many companies. As a result, they are inconsistent, do not comply with specifications, and are purely paper/PDF-centric.

DOSCO Engineering standards provides a remedy here. Our XML-based "out-of-the-box" solution follows DIN 820-2, the norm for standards, and guarantees uniform and correct engineering standards. The international standard XML creates independence and flexibility for output in different formats.
