Engineering standards are indispensable when developing and constructing products. They describe necessary requirements and standards which go beyond all effective national and international standards.
For factory standards: All relevant specifications have to be described completely and without overlapping. Certain factory standards focus on a clearly defined subject – referencing all general and factory standards associated with this professional context (“applicable documents”).
Frequently there are references to further information sources in factory standards (e.g. databases or filing systems), which are coupled with internal and external company requirements. These references must be actionable at the touch of a button so that development and construction are easier to process. This is precisely what XML does.
